Breast self exam adv: I would advise you to examine your breast once monthly. The best time to do this exam is soon after your monthly period has ended. if you find the size of the lump is increasing, you will need a mammogram and/or Ultrasound of your breast. It could be all due to fibro-cystic changes caused by the hormonal changes during the monthly cycles. Does this lump become more or less painful during the month
