Wound check: The causes for a fever are many - and this may or may not be related to your lip injury. I wonder if you still have the stitches in place? Certainly for an area as sensitive and as important as the lip, you should have close follow up with that. Did a plastic surgeon work on you? I would call and let them know - with something like this I would be overly cautious rather than cavalier.
