A member asked:

Can ra factor still be detected in the blood test after 8 years of onset ? i tested serronegative then but i want to retest for ra now.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can change.: Rhumatoid arthritis may be seronagative and with time convert to seropositive. If you believe you have RA there are other tests to administer like anti cccp. The clinical presentation remains an important feature for diagnosis, so follow up with a Rheumatologist to confirm your symptoms.
