It depends on: What you were doing right before you took that pulse. Sometimes walking around or climbing stairs will induce enough exertion to increase your heart rate. If that is resting heart rate with nothing causing it to go fast, then it is a bit high. See a healthcare provider for more proper examination.

Possibly but:: A pulse of 113 is high if you have been at rest. However it may be normal if you were exerting yourself or rushing. Some of the reasons the heart rate can be faster than normal: Anxiety, Smoking(Nicotine),Alcohol, Medication side effect(Including OTC cough and cold medicines),Fever, Pregnancy, Caffeine, Over active thyroid gland, Congestive Heart Failure
