Patience: Being patient and trial and error. I found foods my toddler would refuse and others they couldn't eat enough of. My son loved steam sweet potatoes, my daughter hated them.

Start with one type.: Start with one type of solid food, like, rice cereal or baby food. Try it for a few days. Offer solid food before you give a bottle. May need to distract the baby and try feeding solid food.

No rush, but you can: Try giving him 2 oz. Of formula so he's not ravenous, then put him in a high chair at family. Meals at the table. Model relaxed eating behaviors. Offer puréed single ingredient foods, & don't make a "yuck!" face while offering them. Let him make a mess of something like soft toast or applesauce. 7-mo.-olds are developing a "scissors" grasp. If he spits out food, take it away with no fuss.
