Constipation: Constipation in infants is usually due to diet. He should be eating 3 meals 2 snacks with 500 ml daily of formula (given after he eats) His diet should consist of pureed, soft veggies, fruits and cereals with some meat. Give 60ml daily of prune or pear juice per day to soften stool. Don't use Lacson, he is too young for this. If the weather is very dry, give 60 ml daily of water.

Some thoughts: Fresh bananas, rice cereal & applesauce are natural constipators so these should be avoided. Full strength prune juice 1oz; 1-3X/d spread out will usually loosen a 7 mo in 3-4 days.
