That's correct: For treating Flu A or Flu B, Tamiflu (oseltamivir) is twice a day for 5 days. For prevention of Flu after exposure, in an unvaccinated person, Tamiflu (oseltamivir) is once a day for 10 days. An exposed person can ask her doctor for help. She may also try HealthTap PRIME, and explain her situation (whether or not Tamiflu (oseltamivir) is prescribed by the HealthTap PRIME doctor is at the doctor's discretion).

Good idea!: This is a good idea, assuming your husband is believed to have type A influenza; Tamiflu (oseltamivir) doesn't work against type B. The best way to get a prescription probably is to ask your husband's doctor. If you have signed up for HealthTap's Concierge Service, perhaps a HealthTap doctor would be able to do it. Next year get vaccinated! Good luck.
