Take it now : The rule of using oral contraceptives is generally this, if you missed one dose take it as soon as you remember and then the next dose as scheduled. If you forgot and see that you missed one when you go to take the next dose take them both that the same time. If you miss two doses take two pills for two days in a row. You don't need a backup if you missed one dose and take it as outlined above.
