Hormone testing: Most women have one breast that is a little larger than the other, but in some women the size difference is more dramatic. If the pain is not related to your menstrual cycle, you should be tested for thyroid hormone and prolactin hormone levels to make sure that changes in these hormones are not related to your symptoms.
