Nasal saline: Your nose may be itchy from over drying from the mucin ex. Or you might also have some allergies, i don't know. A nasal saline spray or neti pot should help with the itching, also if it is a dryness problem swabbing the nostrils with baseline or neosporin should also help. And it is okay to take an antihistamine with bronchitis and mucinex (guaifenesin). Try some zyrtec 10 mg otc. Feel better!

Nasal itching may be: Due to air dryness. Try saline nasal spray or gel to relieve dryness & thus calm itching. A steroid nasal spray (rx from doc) can also calm itching.

Need antibiotics to: Acute bronchitis does not show up on x-ray. I put my patients on antibiotics and sometimes IV steriods depending if I am going to admit them or not and bronchodilators. Never heard that antihistamines should not be used in bronchitis. If your nose is very itchy, could be allergens in which case, you may benefit from nasonex (mometasone). Mucinex will help loosen the phlegm.
