High but Dangerous: If you are accurate at predicting ovulation this could work. However, ovulation can occur anywhere from day 6 to 21. As many as 3% of women are fertile on the day they expect menses because ovulation can vary so much. Withdrawal contraception has a very high failure rate for these reasons.
