My daughter has tooth coming in. i gave her 1\2 of a 600mg ibprofen. so about 300mg. is that ok? she is 7 years old and approx 65lbs.

A little too much: The child dose for 65 pounds is 250mg. She'll be OK but reduce the dose. Better yet, buy "Junior Strength" Advil (ibuprofen).

Yes: The usual dose for ibuprofen for children is 2.3-4.5 mg/lb (or 5-10 mg/kg), and the dose you gave corresponds to the upper limit of that dosing guide. That dose is fine (300 mg), but not any more than that. Ibuprofen may be given every 6 to 8 hours - not more than 1,200 mg per day for your child.
