Probably fine.: Most likely the IUD is in the uterus and your doctor just cannot see the string. This is not dangerous. If the IUD has fallen out then the only risk you have would be pregnancy. Consider a condom until you are sure. If the IUD is in your belly then it can be removed with a minor surgery - this is not likely. Hope this helps.
