Diagnosis of GAD or Depression needs to be made to consider Antidepressant medication such as Zoloft (sertraline). Severity of symptoms, and impairment of functioning need to be considered for Daily Dose of Zoloft (sertraline) of 25mg or 50 mg. Either can be: started at 25 or 50mg. I usually start anybody on zoloft off on 25mg to help prevent developing side effects. Once in a while, somebody has a therapeutic response to a dose as low as 25mg.
