Die another day: If you have anaphylaxis to fish and then eat it, it would be like playing Russian roulette. There is no effective preventative measure other than avoidance -even large doses of Medrol and antihistamine would not likely save you. On top of that, you will have no immediate access to medical help. Bring along dehydrated food with you and stay away totally from fish. Must have EpiPen (epinephrine) 2 pk on hand.

You must: take an epipen with you. If you are truly allergic to fish I would not risk anaphylaxis shock. This is a very serious condition that can be easily avoided. If you are going to eat it (which I would not recommend doing), make sure you have Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 25-50 mg so that if you start to feel itchy you can take 50 mg of Benadryl (diphenhydramine). However if you have more than that you will need an epipen for sure!
