Does raising blood pressure while i have a concussion hurt my brain or increase risk for permanent brain damage?

It depends: It all depends on the severity of the injury. In mild head injury, it probably doe not matter. In moderate injury with subarachnoid hemorrhage, there is vasospasm of the blood vessels where elevating pressure may help. In severe head injury where there are contusions, the brain loses auto-regulation and elevated blood pressure may increase intracranial pressure. It is very complex situation.
