Unrelated: It could be due to a viral infection or some other cause. You should not be having fever because of either a pregnancy or your period. A home pregnancy test can be done at home to give you the reassurance you seek. if its negative, take some ibuprofen for pain release. I hope you feel better Best wishes Dr M
