The inside of: the lower leg region can be a common area for skin discoloration. This is typically due to circulation changes and can be incidental or it can indicate a more systemic issue. If you are concerned, get proper exam, diagnosis and treatment plan!

Blood product stain.: The discolorations can range in shades of brown and yellow are due to of a protein that is normally found in the blood. It can leak into the skin for a multitude of reasons, mostly benign, and leave a phenomena known as hemosiderin staining. Trauma, hypertension and cardiovascular conditions are known to be involved, but not always. To remove all doubt, consult with a Healthtap dermatologist.
