foods/ supplements : If you are looking for alternatives to cow milk as a drink all of the non dairy milks are fortified with calcium. Yogurt and cheese dairy and non dairy are also sources as are some vegetables. Vitamin d is also needed and if this is deficient the calcium will not be absorbed. Without knowing the age of the children cannot say for sure but 1000mg day of calcium and 1000 iu of d3 daily are fine.
