A member asked:

Bp 134/94; should i be on meds or work on lowering it with supplements, diet and cardio exercise first?

Dr. John Chiu answered

Probably: Current guideline favors a lower threshold (120 systolic) and thus you may well benefit from further lowering. If you are overweight, weight reduction and regular exercise should be the first step. Cutting down on salt intake may help some people. Else you need to consult your doctor re. what would be the best option for you. Regardless, do something about it.
