Depends: Low grade fever probably has little effect on the fetus, while there is suspicion that high fever might.The cause is more worrisome.Some febrile illnesses are localized, like an ear infection,sore throat or URI and seldom a problem.Others, viruses that spread through the blood like the flu or measles, can infect baby and cause real problems.
