Acute bronchitis: If symptoms are acute, most certainly viral. Stay hydrated. Things should improve. If things get worse (high fevers, chest pain, difficulty breathing) see doc soon. If other underlying illness, err on the safe side and call your doc to let him know. Better safe than sorry.
