A member asked:

I noticed a lump in my lower right groin area and it seems to be getting bigger. i made an appointment with my doc but she can't see me until june.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Enlarged lymph node: Lymph nodes are all over the entire body, and are part of the immune system. They are at work, constantly, defending the body from germs that get past the skin. Some of the largest ones are in the groin creases. No surprise, since that is not a clean area (even if you shower daily). If it isn't painful, and moves easily, don't worry. If you are having night sweats, weight loss, go see a Dr sooner.
