If it significant damage don't to my liver what can be done to save it, or what are the chances of continue on living with it that way?

Appropriate concern: ...but what do you mean by "significant damage" (e.g. fibrosis, trauma, instrumentation, etc.) and from what (e.g. alcohol, drugs, viral, etc.)? Without this context we can only guess at an answer. However, by way of reassurance, even cirrhotic patients may maintain a compensated function of the liver for a very long time.
