Cirrhosis : 'damaged' liver could still be recovered from - potentially, if the causes can be reversed. at the end stage, cirrhosis, there can be a number of complications such as confusion (encephalopathy), fluid in abdomen and legs (ascites), varices in the esophagus and/or stomach and being at significant risk for liver cancer.
