Fatty liver: is usually not a disease entity unto itself, it is the liver's response to a number of other etiologies, such as alcohol intake, certain medications, and obesity. Sometimes there is no known etiology("idiopathic"). So, determining whether an underlying etiology is present, and managing that, is the first step. Talk to your doc about what might be causing the fatty liver.
