Infected tooth: See your dentist for short term relief. You can usually temporarily stop the pain by put an ice cube over the tooth that hurts. Your dentist will most likely refer you to an endodontist if he feels an infected tooth is the problem. Having diabetes makes you more susceptible to these problems.
