Could it be too extreme to purchase a glucose meter if you have non-diabetic hypoglycemia?

Not extreme: I frequently have patients who are having symptoms of hypoglycemia check their sugar at home with a glucose meter when they are having symptoms. Most people find that their sugar is normal (over 70) when they are having symptoms, showing that their symptoms are not actually due to a low sugar. Keep in mind that these meters are not 100% accurate, if you get a low reading, repeat it again.
