Varies: "Home remedies" for sciatica traditionally involve some form of over the counter medication, often an NSAID, rest, moist heat, and sometimes traction. Many cases will resolve, however some do not. See your doctor if pain is severe or is associated with numbness, weakness, or changes in your bowel or bladder function.
