Yes: Ambien (zolpidem) can show up in hair even after 1 dose. I do not know if your work tests for this specifically, or just sedatives in general. I would not recommend taking another person's medication anyway because it may not work for you, or affect you badly. Especially since your work tests you and you do not have a prescription yourself, you should not take your wife's Ambien (zolpidem).
