OAS: OAS= oral allergy syndrome, also known as pollen food allergy syndrome. Allergy to pollen can cause oral itching when eating cross-reacting raw fruits and veggies, worse on days when pollen is high. OAS symptoms usually limited to mouth but some patients feel throat discomfort/tingling/itching. Don't necessarily need to avoid those foods, but be aware of your symptoms, take benadryl (diphenhydramine) if needed.
