Monitor for these sx: Concerning signs/sx's: fever/irritability, redness, pain/crusting/copious eye or nasal discharge, abnormal eye movement/"eye pushed forward" appearance. Unilateral swelling can occur from abnormal sleep position, irritant, trauma (scratch-->clip nails, insect bite). A viral or bacterial infection can cause swelling/watery/red eyes, though more often affects both eyes. Not seasonal allergy in baby.
