Bladder spasm ?: Due to fact that this happens infrequently and has not changed and accompanied by no other signs or symptoms, I would bet on bladder spasm. However, if you are due, I would go in for my regular Gyn examination whether you have had hysterectomy or not and regardless of age.

Sere below: Your complaint is unusual in that it occurs only only once every several months. If this only occurs when you are having your period it might be due to endometriosis. See your physician for an exam and hopefully a specific diagnosis.
