A member asked:

Can you get a concussion from someone slapping the brim of your hat down and causing your head to jerk a little? (recovering from my 3rd concussion)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Head trauma: This is not a common cause of a true concussion, but if this episode has been followed by headaches or dizziness, some type of head trauma probably occurred. I would think more of a neck strain when your head jerked. Consult your physician if symptoms persist or worsen.
