A member asked:

Is the laughing gas drug not use in doctor or denist practice is okay for people with asthma?

Safe for inhalation : Unless there it's labile or poorly controlled asthma, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) should be safe. But respiratory status should be monitored with induction and during the course off treatment and for short term after.

Yes: Laughing gas (NO- nitrous oxide) is safely used with people with asthma without problems- there is no specific risk related to NO and triggering asthma, as it is a non-irritating gas. That being said, Dr's shy away from doing any extensive procedures in an office based setting in patients with severe asthma- hospital based care safer for that.
