Laughing gas: - causes dizziness, a sense of euphoria and removes pain. The nitrous oxide also displaces oxygen and exposes the body to a potentially low oxygen state. That is why physicians monitor the body's oxygen level when administering nitrous oxide. Low oxygen levels can result in brain damage and even death.
