Unusual but may work: That's an unusual antibiotic for bacterial vaginosis, but might work. Presumably the other standard treatments have been tried? (Metronidazole or tinidazole, clindamycin?) If the doctor prescribing doxy is an expert, follow his or her advice. If in doubt, ask for referral to an ObG who specialzes in infectious diseases. It should be possible to get ahead of this. Good luck!
