A member asked:

Do small hiatus hernias usually grow bigger or stay small ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably increase: in size slowly over many years. If it is the usual sliding type, little needs to be done to correct it, unless you have symptoms. If it is the less common paraesophageal type, you might need operative correction.
