Yes: Bisoprolol is a beta blocker that has been used for panic disorder. Taken once daily it can prevent some of the symptoms of panic such as rapid heart beat, tremor and hyperventilation. Physicians usually start treatment for panic disorder with an SSRI type antidepressant +/- a benzodiazepine. Bisoprolol can be used to augment these or in place of if the former are ineffective.
