Lump in throat: A lump in the throat could be benign or malignant. If you are a smoker current or former, then it is essential to rule out malignant lumps. Benign lumps could be due to a saliva cyst, benign minor salivary tumor, or accessory lymphoid tissue. I would recommend any lump to be evaluated by an ENT specialist for treatment which may include a biopsy.
