Get reexamined: Colored vaginal discharge (yellow, etc) suggests infection, which also goes along with painful urination. Depending on duration and other factors, there are several possible causes; from what you say, I would be concerned about STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, and trichomonas. If not tested for STDs, for sure do that ASAP. Return to your doctor or see somone else for second opinion.
