Need exam by gynecol: This may be due to vaginitis e.g. Yeast infection or another local infection which is not uti. Consider herpes if you are sexually active. If there are a few herpetic ulcers outside the urethra, just the passage of urine over it will be very painful. This is treatable. See your family or gyn doc for a women exam. When you discuss these possibilities with your doc, he'll check them out.
