Ultrasound testing : Ultrasound testing is done by lifeline to look at the carotids, and a separate test for the abdomen. Cardiovascular testing is done using an electrocardiogram and looking for vascular plaques in the carotid and vertebral arteries. The latter abnormalities can be associated with coronary artery disease. Peripheral artery disease is evaluated by ankle brachia indices, also associated with cad.
