YES: It is important to consult your PCP since many new anti-inflammatory agents/pain medication, non- narcotic in nature, are now on the market and very effective for nerve pain: Lyrica, Neurontin, Savella, (milnacipran) SSRI and SNRI inhibitors are just examples.
