Depends: It would depend on the degree of "kidney damage." but my guess is you may have been told you had chronic kidney disease, possibly stage 2 or 3. Then you probably do not have any symptoms from the kidney damage, but what's important is control what you can, such as your blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, salt consumption, and avoiding medications that could worsen the damage, such as nsaids.
