KNEE PAIN: knee pain and popping you need an exam baseline labs and knee X-ray . It may be chondromalacia patellae.(Runners knee) If duration of knee pain is over 3 months a knee MRI would be indicated to define the anatomy and evaluate for structural damage. Also consult a PMR doctor for potential injections of platelets or glucose . Lastly an ortho consult in case surgery is needed

Night pain: 43 year old lady with knee pain that is worse at night. When musculoskeletal pain is worse at night, it should be evaluated right away with a full physical exam and imaging. I would recommend visiting a musculoskeletal expert such as an orthopaedic surgeon. Imaging studies will be used based on the results of your physical exam. Always include your medical history, meds please. Good luck.
