May not be muscular: The discomfort in the back certainly can be muscular. However, now if you having neck issues and numbness in the right arm these issues are concerning for a nerve issue in your neck such as a herniated disc in the neck. See your doctor for xarys and possibly an MRI of your neck. If you are lifting weights for example, stop until your issue is evaluated.

Numbness is worrying: Since you mention right arm numbness, this might not be muscular and might be neurologic. You should see a neurologist.

Nerve compression : Hi, I would suggest seeing your primary Doctor, this may be nothing however, neck or upper back pain with arm numbness needs to be looked into. Two possibilities that should be ruled out are radiculopathy or myelopathy.
