Overgrowth: After menopause the endometrial lining should be thin ideally less than 5mm on a sonogram. If it is above 25 mm this is concerning. Measurements in between must be analyzed on an individual basis. Causes include fibroids, polyps, endometrial hyperplasia and in some cases endometrial cancer
