Normal: After menopause, your estrogen levels decrease. Estrogen helps to grow the uterine lining before menopause. Atrophy means the lining is thin because of low hormone levels. These are all normal changes in the uterus due to menopause.

Normal findings: These sonographic findings of "small atrophic uterus with thin postmenopausal endometrium" are normal for women who are years past their last normal menstruations and are therefore postmenopausal . That report simply means your uterus has gotten smaller and the inner lining of your endometrial cavity is thin, as it should be at this point in your life.
