Wean narcotic: Likely yes. Bigger question is why are you taking OxyContin 10mg. That is long-acting oxycodone product and really should be prescribed only in very limited circumstances. I would encourage you to consider strongly asking your prescribing doctor to put you on a short-acting narcotic and wean off of the narcotic other than only very limited intermittent use as you really have significant pain.

That' ll work & Safe: Usually I tell my patients to take melatonin in a sub-lingual preparation (under the tongue) 10 to 15 minutes before you are to turn out the lights for sleep, as the swallowed type is much less effective. It becomes inactivated in the stomach by the high acid content. As for taking it with oxycodone. This combo should be fine beware they both can cause drowsiness and you may have some impairment
